March, 2020: Coronavirus changes the life trajectory of everyone on the planet, including Richard Mann and Margaret Behre. Rich was regularly playing music in Vegas, gearing up to commit to a residency to play tunes in a Singaporean resort. However, that was thus cancelled due to the pandemic. Margaret was in Salmon, Idaho, half way through her first full-term travel physical therapy contract with the intent to continue working and living throughout the United States for the coming 1-2 years. However, that was thus cancelled due to the pandemic.
In May of 2020, Margaret moved to Las Vegas to be closer to family and pick up full time nursing home work, the only available work to physical therapists early in the pandemic. Days after moving to Vegas, she downloaded Tinder, received a "Super-like" from Richard and reciprocated with a right-swipe. They met up at a local park to drink beer and get to know each other where they learned that they could spend hours together talking.
In the coming months, they learned that they both loved live music, playing ice hockey, family time, adopting dogs, travelling, wellness, cooking together, the Vegas Golden Knights, among numerous other things. Margaret was enamored with Richard's huge heart, selfless nature and nervous ticks while Rich loved Margaret's smarts, how much she cares for people and that she always overfills her tacos and burritos.
After buying their first home and moving in with each other, Rich popped the question at sunrise in Poipu, Hawaii following much anticipation and limited success with keeping the beautiful ring a secret from Margaret.
Initially hoping to return to Hawaii for their wedding, Rich and Margaret recognized that their high priority of intimate time with their family and friends was not conducive with a 30 person beach wedding. They'd like to iterate how grateful they are to all of you reading their story for playing a part in shaping each of them to the people they are today, the people that are prepared to love each other for the rest of their lives, 'til death do they part.
